Campaigning for creators’ rights
Our mission is to support creators. We exist to promote, protect and further the interests of creators through advocacy and collective action.
We are a group of 23 major trade associations, unions and bodies in the UK creative industries, together representing over 500,000 creator members and over several million more people working as creators - from authors, translators and journalists to artists, illustrators, performers and musicians.
We formed in 2001 out of the Creators' Copyright Coalition, which started in 1995 in response to several UK publishers' challenges to freelancers' rights in their work. Today we work on policy issues affecting UK creators, such as the impact of generative AI, copyright and intellectual property, contract terms, pay and working conditions.
